Hello all! My name is Michelle, and I work in Casting for ABC's WifeSwap. We are currently looking for a hippie family that doesn't believe in structure. If you think parents are too strict with their kids these days, then we are looking for you!
Families selected to appear on the show receive $20,000 from ABC Television. Any person who refers a featured family receives a $1,000 referral award. Families with strong personalities, who have unique hobbies, or who have anything unusual about their lifestyles are encouraged to apply. We're also seeking families that are strict, lenient, extremely clean or messy, extremely regimented, or who all work together at a business. Applicants must be two-parent households with at least one child between the ages of 5 and 20 living at home. Wife Swap is the series where two moms switch houses for six days and live in the shoes of the other woman. It’s a great experience for any open-minded family!

Now, I am sure this is unneccessary to remind the rest of us of this... but just in case u r thinking about it: DON'T DO IT !! If u have not seen the TV show "Wife Swap", let me fill u in: they make both families look like shit. Every time. I have only seen two or three, since I do not watch the evil tube myself, but trust me, two or three were enough. I have seen them themed with straight v. lesbian families & poor v. rich families. The feeling left from each was that both families were made to look dysfuncional, and both sets of parents were left offended. I felt bad for all parents and kids involved, because it was obviuos they were badly taken advantage of and wrongly portrayed with whatever slant ABC wanted. $20,000 will not change the humiliation your child will suffer for who knows how many years to come. I repeat: DO NOT DO IT! like i said, u all r probably too smart for that anyway... *fingers crossed*

Thu, July 27, 2006 - 7:46 AMI disagree Sage. Since they make BOTH Families "look bad" I see equality in depiction. I've watched a few episodes that I thought were HILLARIOUS, like when a Punk Family switched with some Evanglical Christians. The mayhem that ensued was very funny, and frankly, I thought the Punks came off as WAY more sane. If anyone switched with Sarah and I, they would b in for a tremendous shock, as She is a tattoed and peirced Bi-Sexual AMAZON, with a Brown Belt in Tae Kwan Doe and a history of being on the High School Wrestling Team and playing Defensive End for the DC Divas Women's Football Team. W don't have kids though, so oh well...
To each their own, though. I do agree that spamming a Tribe you are not part of is VERY rude, and not something I support in ANY way...
